Recognition

Three ways a company is recognised

Overall ranking

The 100 places, ordered by the combined economic and ESG assessment. The No. 1 company is the Ghana Club 100 overall winner.

Sector awards

The highest-ranked company in each of Ghana’s key sectors, including financial services, technology, manufacturing, agriculture and energy.

Special CSR awards

For outstanding contribution to communities and society, judged on CSR spend for 2024 and 2025 and the evidence for one initiative.

Methodology

How a company earns its place

A company can’t buy a place on the list. It submits evidence, a government authority checks the tax record, and the assessment decides.

01

Economic performance

Audited financial statements for 2023, 2024 and 2025, assessed for growth, profitability and size.

02

Tax contribution and compliance

Assessed independently by the Ghana Revenue Authority — not by the company, not by GIPA.

03

Environmental, social and governance

Environmental policy, workforce diversity and inclusion, employment creation, CSR governance, and a board-approved charter and code of ethics.

Who can be ranked
  • A limited liability company
  • Less than 50% government-owned, unless listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange
  • Positive equity for the 2025 financial year
What a company submits

Three years of audited accounts; environmental, CSR and ethics policies; a board charter; diversity and employment data for 2024–25; a CEO photograph, logo and 125-word profile.
